How it works
- It has no settings; place it inside a Repeat, usually behind an If.
- The steps after it in the current round are skipped and the loop moves on to its next round.
- Used outside a Repeat, or from an At the same time lane inside one, it fails, and the editor flags it before that happens.
Routines that use it
Skip hidden files
While going through List files results, move to the next round when the name starts with a dot, before Move or copy file runs.
Ignore blank lines
After Split text, skip empty parts so only real lines are added with Add text to file.
Pass over known items
Use Compare values with "is one of" against a list and skip items you already handled.
Good to know
- Only works inside a Repeat, and not from a parallel lane within it.
Questions
- How do I skip an item in a KeyRoutines loop?
- Put an If inside the Repeat with Next round in it. When the If is true, the rest of that round is skipped.
- Does Next round end the loop?
- No. It only skips the rest of this round; use Stop repeating to leave the loop.
