How it works
- Choose deafen, undeafen, or switch to the opposite.
- Being deafened also mutes your microphone, the same as in Discord.
- The step asks Discord for its current state first, so deafening while already deafened succeeds without changing anything, and the outputs say the state afterwards.
- It talks to the Discord desktop app on your PC through a Discord application you set up once in a few minutes.

When PC locked fires, deafen in Discord, and undeafen when PC unlocked fires.
Focus key
A Hotkey toggles deafen and Show banner tells you whether you can hear the call.
Watching a cutscene
Deafen with one key while Media control pauses your music, then undo both with the same key.

- Before the first use, you create a Discord application in Discord's Developer Portal and connect it in KeyRoutines; after that, Discord just has to be open.
Questions
- Can I deafen in Discord without clicking the Discord window?
- Yes. Discord: deafen sends the change to the Discord app directly, so it works while another app or game is in front.
- Is there a way to do this without Pro?
- You can set a deafen keybind in Discord and send it with the free Press keys step. The Pro step reads Discord's real state, so on and off always mean what they say.
