How it works
- Pick Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and turn it on, off, or the other way round.
- If the radio is already in that state, nothing changes.
- It reports whether the radio was on before and is on after, so a later step can switch it back.
- If Windows refuses, for example because of the Radios privacy setting, airplane mode or a hardware switch, the step says what to change.
- In a dry run it only reads the radio's state.
Routines that use it
Bluetooth for your headset
A Hotkey turns Bluetooth on, then Wait until your headset is connected and Set default audio device switches to it.
Battery saver
When Plugged in or unplugged says you're on battery, turn Bluetooth off.
Offline focus
A focus routine turns Wi-Fi off for an hour with Delay, then turns it back on.
Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Radio | Which radio. |
| Turn | Turn it on, off, or the other way round. |
Good to know
- Can't override airplane mode or a hardware radio switch.
- Windows' Radios privacy setting must allow KeyRoutines to control radios.
Questions
- Can I turn Bluetooth on with a keyboard shortcut on Windows 11?
- Yes. Make a routine with a Hotkey trigger and a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on/off step set to toggle Bluetooth.
- Why does turning the radio fail?
- Windows can block apps from changing radios in Settings, Privacy and security, Radios, and airplane mode or a hardware switch can't be overridden. The step's message tells you which one applies.
