Say what you want.
Get a routine.
Describe what your PC should do in plain words. Any AI chat writes the routine with KeyRoutines' own prompt, and KeyRoutines checks it and shows you every step before anything runs.
How it works
- Step 1
Describe it
Say what you want in plain words: “when I start a game, close Teams, open Discord and switch to my headset.”
- Step 2
Copy the prompt
KeyRoutines writes a prompt from the blocks on your PC, with the details of the ones your request needs.
- Step 3
Ask any AI chat
Paste it into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or whichever chat you use, free plans included.
- Step 4
Paste the answer back
KeyRoutines reads the routine out of the answer and shows its trigger and steps in plain words.
- Step 5
Review, then save
You see every permission it needs before saving. It's saved turned off until you say so.
Nothing leaves your PC
KeyRoutines doesn't call an AI. You choose the chat, and you carry the text there and back.
Only real blocks
The prompt only names blocks your KeyRoutines has, so the AI can't invent steps that don't exist.
Saved turned off
Every AI-written routine waits for your OK, with its permissions listed, before it can run.
Prefer to build it yourself? Every routine is made of blocks you can read, and there are step-by-step guides for common ones.
Create with AI questions
- Does KeyRoutines send my request to an AI?
- No. KeyRoutines never calls an AI and sends nothing anywhere. You copy the prompt into the AI chat you already use and paste the answer back yourself.
- Which AI works with it?
- Any chat that can write JSON: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot and others. The prompt is kept short enough for free plans.
- What if the AI gets something wrong?
- KeyRoutines checks the answer against the blocks it really has. If anything is wrong it writes a short fix prompt to paste into the same chat.
- Is it safe to save a routine an AI wrote?
- KeyRoutines shows exactly what the routine can do, like which apps it opens and what it changes, and saves it turned off. Nothing runs until you approve it.
- Is Create with AI free?
- Yes. It costs nothing to run because KeyRoutines doesn't call an AI. If the routine uses Pro blocks, it says which ones.
