StepFreetext.urlEncode

Encode text for a web address or decode %20 codes

Encode for a web address turns text into a form that's safe inside a link, so spaces and symbols don't break it. It can also decode %XX codes in a link back into normal text.

How it works

  • Give it the text, such as a search term.
  • Choose encode to make it safe for a web address, or decode to turn %XX codes back.
  • It returns the converted text.
