How it works
- Set the level, from 1 to 100 percent.
- It fires once per drop, and arms again once the level is back at or above your number or the charger is connected.
- If the battery is already below the level when the trigger is switched on, it waits for the next drop instead of firing straight away.
- The routine receives the battery percentage and whether the PC is on AC power.
Routines that use it
Stretch the last 20%
At 20%, Set power mode to best power efficiency and Set brightness to 40%.
Save before it dies
At 7%, Hibernate with a one-minute countdown so your apps survive.
Charge reminder
At 15%, Speak text says "Plug in the charger" in case you missed the Windows warning.

Good to know
- Only useful on PCs with a battery, and only while running on it.
Questions
- Can Windows run something automatically when the battery is low?
- Windows only offers its own fixed low-battery actions. Battery low lets you run any routine at the level you choose.
- Will it keep firing as the battery keeps dropping?
- No, it fires once per drop below your level. It arms again after charging back up to that level.
