KeyRoutines
StepFreeflow.stop

End a routine on purpose as succeeded, failed or cancelled

Stop routine ends the current run right there. You choose how it should be recorded and can add a short message, which makes the run history easy to read later.

How it works

  • Pick the status: succeeded (the default), failed or cancelled.
  • Add an optional message explaining why it stopped.
  • The run ends at once with that status and message; nothing after it runs.

Routines that use it

Nothing to do

If List files finds no new files, stop as succeeded with "No new downloads" instead of running the rest.

Fail loudly

When Internet available is false, stop as failed so the run shows up as a problem in history.

User said no

After Ask Yes or No, stop as cancelled when the answer is no.

Questions

How do I stop a KeyRoutines routine halfway?
Add Stop routine where you want it to end, usually inside an If. Choose the status and an optional message.
Does Stop routine count as an error?
Only if you pick failed. Succeeded and cancelled end the run without it counting as a failure.
