How it works
- Write what to say, up to 5000 characters, and optionally pick a voice by part of its name (Zira) or a language (en-US, ar).
- With no voice chosen it uses the Windows default, and Arabic text gets an Arabic voice when one is installed.
- Choose the playback device, speed from 0.5 to 2, and volume from 0 to 1 without changing the device's own volume.
- By default the routine waits until the sentence is finished before moving on.
- It stays silent in quiet mode unless the step says otherwise, and a dry run only logs what it would say.
Routines that use it
"You're live"
When the OBS stream starts, say "Stream is live" through your headset, not the speakers your viewers might hear.
Read the reminder
Read text file loads today's reminders and Speak text reads them out each morning.
Battery callout
When Battery low fires while you're in a game, hear a warning instead of missing a notification.

Good to know
- Uses voices already installed in Windows.
- At most 5000 characters per step.
Questions
- How do I make Windows say something out loud automatically?
- Add Speak text to a routine and write the sentence. It plays with your default Windows voice unless you pick another.
- Can it speak through my headset only?
- Yes. Choose the headset as the playback device and only it plays the speech.
