Turn an OBS filter on or off with a hotkey or routine

OBS: filter on or off flips one filter on a source or scene. Think mic noise suppression, a webcam colour correction, or a blur you add over the screen. This step needs KeyRoutines Pro.

KeyRoutines Pro is a one-time $29.99 upgrade for up to 2 PCs.

How it works

  • Name the source or scene and the filter exactly as OBS's Filters window shows them; a single case-insensitive match also works.
  • Choose on, off, or the other way round.
  • If the filter is already how you want it, nothing is sent to OBS.
  • A wrong source or filter name fails with a list of what OBS actually has.

Routines that use it

Privacy blur

A hotkey toggles a blur filter on your Display Capture source while you type a password or check messages.

Noise suppression for calls

When Mic or camera in use sees Discord start using the mic, turn your mic's noise suppression filter on.

Webcam look per scene

When OBS switches to your Camera scene, turn on a colour correction filter on the webcam.

Settings

SettingWhat it does
SourceThe source or scene the filter is on, as OBS names it.

Questions

Can I toggle an OBS filter with a keyboard shortcut?
Yes. Put OBS: filter on or off in a routine with a Hotkey trigger and set it to toggle. Each press flips the filter.
Does it work on scene filters?
Yes. You can name a scene instead of a source, and its filters can be switched the same way.
