How it works
- Search your library by title and pick the wallpaper, whether it came from the Workshop, the defaults or your own projects.
- Pick a monitor, or leave it empty to show it on every monitor.
- It works through Wallpaper Engine's own command line; if Wallpaper Engine wasn't running, this starts it.
- It records what each monitor showed before, so the old wallpaper can be put back.
Routines that use it
Stream background
When OBS stream started or stopped reports you went live, show your branded wallpaper on the main monitor.
Work and evening scenes
At a time at 09:00 shows a calm wallpaper, and another routine at 18:00 shows a livelier one.
Game-themed desktop
When Game started fires, show that game's wallpaper on the second monitor.
Settings

| Monitor | Which monitor. Empty: every monitor. |
Good to know
- The wallpaper must be in this PC's Wallpaper Engine library; a routine copied from another PC may point at one you don't have.
Questions
- Can I set a specific Wallpaper Engine wallpaper automatically?
- Yes. Pick it from your library in Show a Wallpaper Engine wallpaper and trigger the routine by time, hotkey, game or anything else.
- Do I need Wallpaper Engine running first?
- No. If it isn't running, the command starts Wallpaper Engine and shows the wallpaper.
