Run a routine automatically when you start a game

Game started fires when any game in your launchers, or one game you pick, starts running. It is how gaming setups begin: switching to the headset, raising the refresh rate and pausing animated wallpapers as the game loads.

How it works

  • Pick a game, or leave it empty for any game from Steam, Epic Games, GOG, Battle.net, the EA app, Ubisoft Connect, Xbox and Riot Games.
  • It fires once the real game is running, not the launcher, and helper programs that start alongside it don't fire it again.
  • Games that were already running when the routine was turned on don't count as starting.
  • The routine receives the game, so later steps such as Game is ready or Move and resize can use it.
  • It doesn't keep its own timer running; it reacts to programs starting.

  • KeyRoutines prepares your PC around the game; it doesn't play or send input to protected games.
