Send keys, text and clicks to desktop apps
Type text, press shortcuts and click in desktop apps, even ones that aren't in front. Games are not supported.
Steps (5)
Click in app
Click in app presses a point inside a window that isn't in front, without moving your pointer or bringing that window forward. It needs KeyRoutines Pro and is meant for classic desktop apps with ordinary buttons, check boxes and lists.
Mouse
Mouse clicks, scrolls, drags or moves the pointer in the app in front. Points are picked relative to a window or a monitor rather than fixed screen pixels, so a routine keeps working when windows move or your monitors change.
Press keys
Press keys sends a key combination or a whole sequence, such as Ctrl+C, wait 300, Ctrl+V, to the app in front or to a chosen app. It is the simplest way to use an app's own shortcuts from a routine.
Send text to app
Send text to app types or inserts text into an app that isn't in front, and leaves that app where it is. It needs KeyRoutines Pro and is useful for filling in a desktop tool or chat while you carry on with something else.
Type text
Type text writes text into the window in front, either key by key or by pasting it. People use it for signatures, standard replies, and filling in fields with values from earlier steps.
