How it works
- Pick one light, or leave it empty for every Elgato light found on the network, so a new step works without typing anything.
- Set brightness from 0 to 100 percent and colour temperature from 2900 K, warm, to 7000 K, cool daylight.
- By default it also turns the light on; turn that off to change the look while leaving the light on or off as it is.
- Each light's previous brightness, temperature and on state are recorded, so a mode can put them back.
- If a light no longer answers at its saved address, the network is searched once and the light is used at its new address.
Routines that use it
Call lighting
When Mic or camera in use reports the camera starting, set the Key Light to 60 percent at 4700 K.
Warm evening light
At a time at 19:00 sets every light to a warm 3200 K at a lower brightness.
Stream scene match
When OBS scene changed switches to your 'Just chatting' scene, brighten the lights for a face cam.

- Only Key Light, Key Light Air, Key Light Mini and Ring Light are supported.
- The light must be on the same local network as the PC.
Questions
- Do I need Elgato's app open to control my Key Light?
- No. KeyRoutines talks to the light directly over your local network, with no sign-in needed. Elgato's app can stay closed.
- How do I set different lighting for calls and streams?
- Make one routine per situation with Set Elgato light, triggered by the camera turning on, an OBS scene change, or a hotkey.
