How to turn on your Elgato light when your webcam turns on
With KeyRoutines Pro, add the Mic or camera in use trigger for the camera, started and stopped. Started by trigger picks the branch: Set Elgato light turns the light on at your brightness and colour temperature, and Turn Elgato light on or off switches it off afterwards.

Steps

Watch the camera
Add Mic or camera in use set to the camera and started, and another set to stopped. Leave the app empty for any app.

Branch on the trigger
Add an If with Started by trigger set to started.

Light on
Add Set Elgato light with your light, a brightness such as 40 % and a temperature such as 4500 K.

Light off
In the Else branch, add Turn Elgato light on or off set to off.
Tips
- Leave the light empty to control every Elgato light on your network at once.
- Mic or camera in use is marked Experimental; it relies on Windows reporting which app uses the camera.
Questions
- Does it need Elgato Control Center running?
- No. KeyRoutines talks to Key Light, Key Light Air, Key Light Mini and Ring Light directly over your local network, so the light only needs to be on the same network as the PC.
