How to switch to a BRB scene and mute your mic with one key

With KeyRoutines Pro, add a Hotkey trigger and an If with OBS scene is set to your BRB scene. If you're on BRB, OBS: switch scene goes back to your main scene and OBS: mute or unmute unmutes the mic; otherwise it switches to BRB and mutes the mic.

Steps

   Add a Hotkey trigger

   Pick a chord such as Ctrl+Alt+B.

   Check the current scene

   Add an If with OBS scene is set to your BRB scene.

   Coming back

   In the If branch, add OBS: switch scene to your main scene and OBS: mute or unmute set to unmute on your mic input.

   Stepping away

   In the Else branch, add OBS: switch scene to BRB and OBS: mute or unmute set to mute on the mic.

Tips

• OBS: mute or unmute changes the mic inside OBS only, so you can still talk on Discord while the stream hears nothing.
