How it works
- Pick the mode, and keep "Put back what it changed" on to restore things like volume, mute, power plan, theme, wallpaper or window layout.
- Turn that option off to switch the mode off but leave everything as it is now.
- Only changes the mode really made are undone; if the sound was already muted before, it isn't unmuted.
- If the mode is already off nothing happens, and the step reports that nothing changed.
Routines that use it
Game closed, back to normal
When Game stopped fires, turn Gaming mode off so the headset, power plan and window layout go back.
End the work day
At a set time, turn Work mode off and lock the PC with Lock the PC.
Back from AFK
When Back at the PC fires, turn AFK mode off so the sound and desktop icons return.

Good to know
- Needs KeyRoutines Pro.
- Apps the mode opened are left open on purpose.
Questions
- Does turning a mode off undo everything it did?
- It undoes the changes it knows how to put back, such as sound, display, power, theme, wallpaper, desktop icons, windows and apps it closed. Apps it opened stay open.
- Can I turn a mode off without restoring?
- Yes. Switch off "Put back what it changed" and the mode ends with your settings left as they are.
