How it works
- Choose whether to fire when the recording starts, stops, pauses or resumes.
- When the recording stops, the routine gets the path of the new video file.
- OBS pushes the event to KeyRoutines, so there's no polling while OBS is open.
- If OBS is closed, the routine card shows Waiting with the reason and starts working once OBS is back.
Routines that use it
File the video
When recording stops, Create folder makes a dated folder and Move or copy file puts the new recording in it.
Quiet while recording
When recording starts, turn on Quiet mode; when it stops, turn it off again.
Recording light
Turn on an Elgato light when recording starts and off when it stops.
Settings
| Setting | What it does |

| On | Fire when the recording starts, stops, pauses or resumes. |
Good to know
- Needs KeyRoutines Pro.
- OBS must be open with its WebSocket server on for the event to arrive.
Questions
- Can I automatically move OBS recordings when they finish?
- Yes. Use this trigger set to "stops" and add Move or copy file. The trigger hands the routine the recording's file path.
- Does it notice a paused recording?
- Yes. You can fire on pause and resume as well as start and stop.
