How to pick a project from a list and open everything for it

Create a KeyRoutines routine with a Hotkey trigger and Choose from a list with your project names. An If on the chosen item runs Open file or folder with your editor for that project's folder and Open URLs for its pages, then Move and resize puts the browser on your second monitor.

Steps

  1. 1

    Add a Hotkey trigger

Pick a chord such as Ctrl+Alt+P.

  2. 2

    List your projects

Add Choose from a list with one entry per project.

  3. 3

Open the folder in your editor

Add an If on the chosen item for each project, with Open file or folder set to open the project folder with your editor, such as Visual Studio Code.

  4. 4

    Open its pages

In the same branch, add Open URLs with the project's tracker and docs in a new window.

  5. 5

    Arrange

Add Move and resize for the browser window that Open URLs hands on, on your second monitor.

Tips

  • Choose from a list takes up to 50 choices and can pre-select the one you use most.
  • Pick a browser profile in Open URLs, such as Work, to keep project pages separate.
