How to turn off your Elgato lights when your stream ends

With KeyRoutines Pro, add the OBS stream started or stopped trigger set to stopped. Turn Elgato light on or off switches your lights off, OBS: record / stream / replay stops the replay buffer, and Speak text says "You're offline" in your headset.

KeyRoutines Pro is a one-time $29.99 upgrade for up to 2 PCs.

Steps

  1. 1

    React to the stream stopping

Add OBS stream started or stopped, set to fire when the stream stops, however you stopped it.

  2. 2

    Lights off

Add Turn Elgato light on or off set to off, with the light left empty for every Elgato light on your network.

  3. 3

    Stop the replay buffer

Add OBS: record / stream / replay set to stop the replay buffer.

  4. 4

    Say it

Add Speak text with "You're offline" on your headset.

Tips

  • Supported lights are Key Light, Key Light Air, Key Light Mini and Ring Light on the same network as the PC.
  • Add a second routine on the stream starting with Set Elgato light, to set brightness and colour temperature as you go live.

Questions

Do I need Elgato Control Center running?
No. KeyRoutines talks to the lights over your home network.
Is it free?
No. The OBS stream trigger and the Elgato steps are KeyRoutines Pro; OBS: record / stream / replay is free.
