How to save every link you copy to a reading list file

Use KeyRoutines' Clipboard changed trigger filtered to web links, Get clipboard to read the link, Format date for a timestamp, and Add text to file to append both to a reading list.

Steps

  1. 1

    React to copied links

Add Clipboard changed set to web link. Add a pattern, such as youtube.com, if you only want some sites.

  2. 2

    Read the link

Add Get clipboard set to text.

  3. 3

    Timestamp it

Add Format date with yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm.

  4. 4

    Save it

Add Add text to file with the date, a tab and the link, to Documents\reading-list.txt.

Tips

  • Each entry goes on its own line, so the file opens neatly in Notepad or a spreadsheet.
  • Pair it with the routine that removes tracking from copied links, so the list stays clean.
